David Warner levels Chris Gayle’s massive record of 110 fifty-plus runs in T20 matches on Sunday, March 31 during the Indian Premier League 17th edition.

The opening batsman of Delhi Capitals (DC), David Warner scored 52 runs off 35 balls during a match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at ACD-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

Warner hit three sixes and five boundaries during his innings with a strike rate of 148.57.

He alongside Prithvi Shaw made 93-run opening partnership in just 9.3 overs.

Warner is the first player to complete 110 fifty-plus runs in 372 innings. 

Gayle scored 110 fifties in 455 inning of his career.

Australian batsman is now ruling the tally for most 50s in T20 cricket while Chirs Gayle is second on the list.

Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, and Jos Buttler are in third, fourth and fifth position respectively.

Warner is also the third-highest run scorer in the history of IPL and first among non-Indian players.

He is the only player to win the prestigious orange cap in 2015, 2017, and 2019.
